Paris Baguette, the global bakery chain, launched its first location in Idaho within The Village shopping district in Meridian. The opening marks the brand's entry into the state market after a period of expansion in neighboring regions.
Franchise owner Jay Kim led a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning to precede the Friday grand opening. The store will operate with a menu that includes sweet and savory pastries, breads, cakes, sandwiches, and coffee beverages.
Kim described the months leading up to the launch as a focused effort to secure the right team and location. He stated that his staff, both in the back and front of house, demonstrated strong work ethic and drive during the preparation period.
The selection of Meridian was a deliberate choice made by the franchise team. Kim explained that the group evaluated other potential locations before deciding that The Village offered the appropriate setting for the brand's introduction to Idaho customers.
This opening adds to the recent wave of new retailers entering The Village, a development that has seen several new stores open in the area. The bakery's presence in Meridian completes the chain's geographic expansion into the Treasure Valley.
