FNBC Bancorp now holds approximately $1 billion in total assets following the completion of its acquisition of RiverWind Bancshares and RiverWind Bank on Friday, Oct. 30. This transaction expands the bank's community banking presence into central Arkansas.

RiverWind Bank currently serves customers through four locations in Augusta, Searcy, and Beebe. The bank will continue to operate under its own name until its banking systems are combined with FNBC's infrastructure. That system conversion is scheduled for mid-May 2027.

Chad Hudson, FNBC CEO and President, stated that the merger reflects a shared belief that strong community banks start with people who know their customers. He added, "We are proud to welcome RiverWind's employees and customers and look forward to building on those relationships."

On Monday, Nov. 2, FNBC opened a new Searcy branch. Rees Jones, Community President, leads this office. The new location is equipped to serve both FNBC and RiverWind customers immediately.

RiverWind's other three offices in Searcy, Augusta, and Beebe will keep operating under the RiverWind name and existing banking systems. These branches will continue serving RiverWind customers but will not be able to handle FNBC customer accounts until the system conversion is complete in mid-May 2027.

RiverWind customers should continue using their existing accounts, debit cards, checks, and digital banking services as usual. The bank will provide information well in advance of the May system conversion. Hudson noted, "Throughout that work, we will stay focused on taking care of customers and keeping them informed."
