Jay-Z will perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The announcement concludes a period of high-profile live performances that began earlier this year.
The performance caps a series of events organized under the "Jay-Z 30" banner. The artist started this run as a headliner at the Roots Picnic in late May. He followed that with three sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium in July. Those shows marked the 25th anniversary of "The Blueprint" and the 30th anniversary of "Reasonable Doubt." He also performed in Paris and London and recorded an eight-part docuseries titled "Jay-Z in 8" with Rick Rubin.
Over the weekend, Jay-Z finished his global tour with two nights at SoFi Stadium. The shows featured guests including Scarface, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Blue Ivy Carter, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Too Short.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stated that the league has collaborated with Jay-Z and Roc Nation for several years. Goodell noted that when the NFL first selected Roc Nation to produce the halftime show, he requested that Jay-Z perform on the stage whenever the timing felt right. "I couldn't be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage," Goodell said.
Oliver Schusser, Apple's Vice President of Music and International Content, described Jay-Z's influence on global music culture as "as profound as it is undeniable." Schusser said Apple has worked with the artist in recent years to bring prominent performers to the halftime stage. He expressed confidence that the 2027 show will be "incredible."
The broadcast will air on ESPN, ABC, and Disney+. Mobile viewers can watch through NFL+. ESPN Deportes and Disney+ will provide a Spanish-language telecast, while Univision will carry a separate Spanish-language presentation. Roc Nation will serve as executive producer, and Hamish Hamilton will direct the event.
The previous halftime show, performed by Bad Bunny, averaged 128.2 million viewers. That figure was higher than the 124.9 million average for the game but lower than the 133.5 million viewers reached by Kendrick Lamar in 2025. Bad Bunny won his first Emmy last month for the performance, which collected seven awards in total.
