Dylan Marlowe will drop his second full-length album on November 6. The self-titled project comes out through Sony Music Nashville and Play It Again Music. It marks his first major release since his 2024 debut, Mid-Twenties Crisis.
The album contains 13 songs. Marlowe co-produced the record with Joe Fox. The musical style mixes country with pop-punk elements. Marlowe cites Eric Church, Sum 41, and Blink-182 as key influences on the sound.
He recently released the single "In This Boat" to preview the project. A new music video accompanies the track. The song was written by Marlowe alongside Michael Tyler, Zach Abend, and Thomas Archer. It deals with a couple working through relationship difficulties. Marlowe describes the track as a relaxed entry point into the record. He notes it differs from the rock-oriented material on the album but fits the overall tone.
The project features writing from several established artists. Tucker Beathard, Jameson Rodgers, Brent Anderson, and Chris Tompkins all contributed to the songs. The tracklist also includes previously released material such as "No Coincidence." Other titles on the album include "Shotgun Seat," "Wrench In My Plans," "Catchin' Strays," "Death Do Us Part," and "Mother Of A Memory."
Marlowe also released "Rock The Jukebox" before the album launch. He explained the inspiration behind that specific track. He mentioned listening to Alan Jackson's "Don't Rock The Jukebox" and wondering how the concept would change. He said the song is not an interpolation but sparked a different idea. He imagined a heartbroken man entering a bar who wants to listen to rock instead of country. The first chorus contains a lot of country music, while the back half of the song shifts dramatically.
Marlowe will perform at fairs and festivals across the United States this fall. He has upcoming shows scheduled in Oklahoma, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He is also booked for his first appearance at the Stagecoach Festival in 2027.
