Warriors Rookie Reacts to Girlfriend's Red Dress With Classic Movie GIF

Yaxel Lendeborg posted a reaction to a new photo of his girlfriend, Tacarra Shyann, on Wednesday. The Golden State Warriors rookie, who has averaged 22.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and four assists in his first five games, responded to Shyann's Instagram post with a GIF from the 1988 movie 'They Live.' In the clip, actor Roddy Piper removes his sunglasses in disbelief, a visual cue Lendeborg used to express his reaction to the image.

Shyann shared the photo on Wednesday, captioning it simply 'covergirl.' In the picture, she poses in a red dress. The comment from Lendeborg sat at the top of the post. The couple has been dating for more than a year, having met before Lendeborg's final season at the University of Michigan.

Shyann revealed in June that Lendeborg initiated their relationship by sending her a direct message on social media. The Warriors recently won two consecutive games after losing their first three of the season. Lendeborg's consistent scoring and rebounding have made him a key player for the team in the early part of the campaign.

Shyann's visibility as a partner of an NBA player has increased with the team's improved record. Lendeborg's performance suggests she will attend many future home games in San Francisco. The couple's public presence on social media has grown alongside his rookie season statistics.
