Storybook Land turns on over 1 million lights for holiday season

Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township will activate more than 1 million lights beginning Nov. 14 for its annual Christmas Fantasy event. Santa Claus will perform the lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. on opening night, a tradition that continues on all operating days through Dec. 23. The family-owned park has hosted this holiday display for nearly four decades.

The event transforms specific attractions for the winter season. The Jumping Jumbos ride becomes Santa’s Fantasy Flight, a sleigh ride that features falling snow. Snow also lines the route of the park’s train. A musical light show will be positioned near the Bubbles the Coaster attraction.

Visitors can enter Santa’s House to take photographs with Santa and Mrs. Claus. These visits are available through Dec. 23. Staff will provide specific visiting times upon arrival, as the schedule varies by date. The park will close for the holiday break on Dec. 24 and 25. It will reopen for lights and rides from Dec. 26 through 30, though the Claus characters will not be present after Christmas.

The holiday menu offers seasonal food options for guests. Items include hot chocolate, loaded baked potatoes, chili, deconstructed chicken pot pie, and various soups. The park serves these meals during the event dates.

Tickets cost $42.95 per person, a price that includes tax. Purchase is required online in advance for the specific date of visit. Guests may arrive at any time during the day's operating hours. Admission is covered for holders of the 2026 season pass. Hours vary by date and are listed on the park’s website.

The event runs on select dates from Nov. 14 through Dec. 30, 2026. Storybook Land is located at 6415 E. Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
